Childhood:
- Amin was born in the Kakwa Tribe, near Koboko in the West Nile Aura District.
- His parents split up at an early age.
- He ended up living with his mother. She was considered to be a "witch doctor"
- Amin recieved little education, but was excellent at sports.
- He converts to Islam at an early age.
- His mother is a camp follower of the King's African Rifles.
- His mother ends up having more kids and Amin is the 3rd of 8 children.
